Celebrating Sikh Culture

Celebrating Sikh Culture
In Half Moons, the children have been
observing Manisha's Henna patterns. She explained
that in Sikh culture women wear Henna on their hands
at weddings. The children then used icing pens to
practice doing their own Henna designs!

They also observed pictures of the traditional
Sikh/Punjabi wedding dresses that Manisha wore to the
wedding and were so engaged when learning about
the different clothing and jewellery. They asked lots of
questions and it was really lovely to see the children
show interest in learning about the Sikh culture and
traditions.

Great work half moons!
